Home Care

For empty properties requiring regular maintenance and inspection.This service is usually provided in conjunction with a Home Sale or Home Rent programme.

Initial Contact
We make contact with the landlord by telephone and explain the service to be provided. We make an appointment for one of our counsellors to meet the landlord at the property.

Counseling
We meet with the landlord at the property, and inspect the property. We advise on security, and suggest any works that may be required. We run through a questionnaire with the landlord, seeking information on service contracts, key holders, etc. We advise on the frequency of inspection visits and gardening service visits (if required), and agree a start date for the service.

Set Up
We write to mortgagees and insurers advising them that the property is empty, and that we are looking after the property. We also advise the local authority and the local police. We arrange for utility accounts to come to us for settlement. Where an alarm is fitted we make appropriate arrangements with the maintenance company.

Inspection Visits
We inspect the property internally and externally to the agreed schedule and report our visit and any required maintenance. On approval we arrange for the maintenance work to be carried out. We monitor the quality of work being undertaken by sub-contractors such as the gardening service.
